Actor Kang Dong-won expressed his feelings about trying to act as a slave for the first time through the Netflix film 'Jeon, Lan'.

Kang Dong-won met with Sports Chosun at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul on the 23rd and said, `Since I have not been a gold spoon since I was a child, I think slaves were much better suited than aristocrats.'

The Netflix film 'Jeon, Lan', which was released on the 11th, is a story about Jong-ryeo, the son of Joseon's highest military family, who grew up together, and Cheon-young, the son of Joseon's top military officer, who became an enemy with King Seon-jo's closest officer and a righteous army, and director Kim Sang-man of 'Night FM' took the megaphone.

'Jeon, Lan' ranked third in the Netflix Global Top 10 films (non-English) category in the second week since its release. In response, Kang Dong-won responded, "Since the work was released on Netflix, I don't know what the viewers' reaction is. 'Is it right that my movie was released?' I wanted to, and I was a bit puzzled"It's a grade where teenagers are not allowed to watch, and I was worried about how much they would watch, but I was grateful that they liked it a lot more than I thought. I want you to look at it a little bit more (laughs)."

Kang Dong-won played the role of Chun Young, a slave with the best swordsmanship in the play. He said of his role "I wasn't really a gold spoon since I was young, and I grew up in a middle-class family between a noble class and a slave from a young age. As a result, it seems that Novi was much better suited by nature. On the contrary, I didn't think I had a good personality with you," he said.

When asked about his satisfaction with the work, Kang Dong-won replied with a smile, "'It would have been better to see the god appearing in the beginning.'" In response to this, I thought it would have been better if the makeup had been made a little dirty. I told the makeup team that I don't really like to make the skin tone itself spotty, but I think there was a bit of a communication miss. It's different to put dust on and change your skin tone, but I think it came out with such a clean face."

Regarding the charm of the genre of historical drama "The makeup of historical drama itself is very uncomfortable, but it has its own charm. Men wear beards, and women have to raise their hair, so it takes a long time to dress up. How bad is it for your skin when you have to put glue on your face all day. Especially in the summer, it's not good and sticky, so I go crazy. But when I do it, I don't hate it (laughs). In addition, historical dramas are not just fist-fights even if they act, but they seem to have the charm of using knives. And don't you think there's a cool look that comes out when you wear a hanbok. I think it's good to play the role of a yangban in the winter and a slave in the summer."
