In the play, Kim Hee-ae played Yeon-kyung, a working mother who does everything perfectly. 'Ordinary Family' has been invited to a total of 19 major film festivals around the world, including the 48th Toronto International Film Festival, and has been recognized for its outstanding cinematic quality early on. Kim Hee-ae said, `I thought the audience would be bored because it was dark and the subject matter was heavy, but I was surprised that the festival invited me and the rating was high. I never expected such a reaction. Even though it was a Korean story, all the foreign audiences laughed at the humor code. I'm so curious how Korean audiences will see the work."
