In SBS 'Dongsang Imong Season 2 - You Are My Destiny', which aired on the 30th of last month, Jang Soo-won and his wife Ji Sang-eun shared their mother's death for the first time while preparing to give birth to a second-generation baby.
Jang's mother passed away in April at the age of 68. He said his mother was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015 and was cured after five years of chemotherapy, but his condition worsened rapidly after the cancer spread to the liver and brain. "My mother lost her sight and hearing after the cancer spread to her brain, and she died suddenly within a month or two."" she said, expressing her shock at the time.
Jang Su-won recalled his last moment with his mother in the interview, saying, "I'm sorry that I won't be able to see my granddaughter when my mother is in her right mind. I couldn't hold back my tears because it hurt so much that I wanted to go quickly. He confessed that he felt deeply guilty for not being able to show his granddaughter.

His wife Ji Sang also said she suffered from her mother's deterioration and her husband's emotional pain. "It was so hard that my husband, who saw my mother, cried every time", he confessed that he shared Jang Su-won's pain. Recalling her last memory with her mother, she recalled "Watching her mother in pain, seeing her husband in so much pain, I knew for the first time that he was a man with tears," he said, describing his experience of feeling his husband's pain together.
Jang Su-won "I want to be born as a mother's son even if I'm born again."He confessed his deep affection for his mother, but remembered the generous love and frugal personality he showed in his life.
