Lee Tae-hwan played the role of handsome firefighter Seo Kang-hoon in the TV CHOSUN weekend miniseries 'DNA Rubber', which is scheduled to be aired on the 6th.
Through 'DNA Lover', Lee Tae-hwan excited the small screen with his honesty and friendly straightforward youth who always keeps what he decides to do. Q. The return piece 'DNA Rubber' is coming to an end soon. How do you feel?
A. I was very nervous because it was my return work after being discharged from the military, but on the other hand, I was very excited. When I started filming, I couldn't stop laughing thanks to the director, writer, senior, and fellow actors, and I was able to finish the shoot well.
Q. I played the role of a firefighter for the first time since my debut, please let me know if you have any special parts or shooting episodes for the character.
A. I actually went to the fire station, had a lot of interviews with people in the office, and studied equipment. There are scenes where I use the equipment myself in the field, so I asked the adviser and prepared hard.
Q. With a friendly but honest younger man, he brought 'Kang Hoon Ai' to the small screen. What is the most memorable scene or line?
A. There are many scenes, but the most memorable one is the scene where I went to ask Sojin (Jeong In-sun) on a date with a different style to confess to her. It's memorable because it's the moment Kang Hoon recognizes his mind and goes straight.
Q. It delicately expresses the feeling of deepening unrequited love and increases the immersion of the play. What's the most important part of acting?
A. It was about finding what Kang Hoon and I have in common. In fact, I felt that I had a lot in common with Kang Hoon, so I tried to show him what I felt as Lee Tae-hwan.
Q. What was your actual chemistry or chemistry with the actors who played the love triangle?
A. I got close enough to all the actors to know what they were talking about just by looking at their eyes, so I enjoyed filming by helping each other with breathing, ad-libs, and difficult scenes. It was a perfect chemistry with endless laughter.
Q. What does 'DNA Rubber' mean to Lee Taehwan?
A. For me, 'DNA Lover' was my return work after being discharged from the military, and it was my first challenge in my 30s, so I was very excited and I was able to enjoy it with more confidence.
