"The Fiery Death 2" (scripted by Park Jae-beom, directed by Park Bo-ram) is an extreme collaborative comic investigation about a hot-tempered priest Kim Hae-il (Kim Nam-gil) heading to Busan after a drug incident in Gudam-gu. Season 1, which aired in 2019, has become a mega hit with a highest ratings of 24% (Nilson Korea, based on the metropolitan area), so Season 2, which returns for the first time in five years, is drawing keen attention.
In particular, as this season was made with constant requests from viewers, writer Park Jae-beom, director Park Bo-ram, who wrote the script in season 1, and Kim Nam-gil, Lee Ha-nee, and Kim Sung-kyun are back together to add to the buzz. Park Kyung-sun, played by Lee Ha-nee, appeared as a villain prosecutor in season 1, but this season, she transforms into a apostle of justice. The way she looks around with a knife suggests that she will act as Kim Hae-il's strong helper 'Komes'.
Kim Sung-kyun will play the role of Koo Dae-young, a detective on the Gudam Police Station's violent team, and will once again have a bromance with Kim Hae-il. The image of him holding a pistol in the poster shows his characteristic intense charisma.
