ATA, which began in 1996 and marks its 29th anniversary this year, is Asia's most prestigious media awards ceremony and selects awards through strict screening by a 60-member committee. The 29th ATA will be held in Jakarta, Indonesia, on November 29 and 30.
First, 'Queen of Tears' was nominated for Best Scriptwriting. 'Queen of Tears' is the series that ranked No. 1 in all time on tvN, the broadcast channel, with an average viewership of 24.9 percent in the final episode. Overseas, it is serviced through Netflix and has accumulated 29 million views (view time divided by the total running time of the work) and 682.6 million viewers in the first half of this year, making it the most popular K-drama in the first half.
"Fortune Misdiagnosis Day" was nominated for Best Cinematography. Unveiled through TVing in Korea and Paramount+ in Global, 'Lucky Misdiagnosis Day' filmed many of the road driving scenes in the work at the virtual production (state-of-the-art technology that can be filmed in a computer-generated virtual environment) stage at CJ ENM Studio Center in Paju, Gyeonggi-do. It has been praised as a well-made genre by realizing the scene of a car running on a road through an ultra-high-resolution LED background screen.
In particular, expectations are high for consecutive awards, as both 'Queen of Tears' and 'Lucky Misdiagnosis Day' have been nominated for major categories at the recently announced Asian Academy Creative Awards (AACA). Held every December in Singapore, AACA is Asia's largest content awards ceremony that reviews and awards the Asian content market. At the AACA held in Singapore on December 3rd and 4th, 'Queen of Tears' was nominated for Best Direction and Best Screenplay, and 'Fortune Misdiagnosis Day' was nominated for Best Original Production by a Streamer.
Nominated for both ATA and AACA, one of Asia's two biggest awards ceremonies, 'Fortune Misdiagnosis Day' will be available on TVing, 'Queen of Tears' will be available on TVing and Netflix.
