'The Lonely Gourmet The Movie' will meet with domestic audiences at this year's Busan International Film Festival ahead of its Japanese release in January next year. Director Yutaka Matsushige "I came to Busan a year ago to film a movie, but I didn't have a direct flight from Japan to Busan at the time, so I came through Seoul and thought "It's a troublesome film festival."After that, it is an honor to visit Busan again for the first time in a year and step on the red carpet at the Busan International Film Festival."
In particular, director Yutaka Matsushige drew attention by presenting 'Snack Mukbang' on the red carpet at the opening ceremony of the 29th Busan International Film Festival on the 2nd. In response, he said " (The red carpet performance) I missed the in-flight meal in the work, so I had to eat Gun natto, and I thought it would be fun for those who saw this scene through the open cinema screening to find out later that what I ate on the red carpet was Gun natto.", he explained.

Regarding the directing-focused part, "It's a movie, but half of it is like a documentary" When you visit an actual restaurant, don't the owner make you a delicious dish. I thought it was important to eat deliciously. I always emphasize to the staff that 'this work has to be done at once, and it has to be shot in order' is what it means. I thought it was important to establish the documentary elements well."

Finally, director Yutaka Matsushige said, `I worked as a film director this time, but I started with the play at first.' `I actually came into this industry because I wanted to film a movie, but back then, it wasn't an era where I could use YouTube as easily as I do now. I started with an 8mm movie, but it was hard to raise funds. There was always a longing for movies, and I was curious about how the staff wrote the script. If we only ate the cooking table prepared by the staff when filming the drama, we did all the preparations together in the movie. It was that hard, but there was more joy than that. I'm 61 years old now, and I'm enjoying the fact that I can challenge myself even though I don't have a long rest of my life" he expressed his passion.
Meanwhile, 'Lonely Gourmet The Movie' is scheduled to be released in Korea in March next year.
