Director Yutaka Matsushige said at the 29th Busan International Film Festival Open Cinema World Premiere Screening Film 'Lonely Gourmet the Movie' at the Film Industry Center in Haeundae-gu, Busan on the morning of the 3rd.
Director Yutaka Matsushige explained why he cast Yoo Jae-myung in 'The Lonely Gourmet The Movie'. He said, `I was looking for a Korean actor because I wanted to film it mainly in Korea"I've been looking for various Korean works since the end of last year, and Yoo Jae-myung got better after seeing 'No Sound' among them. It's the first actor I thought of, and I'm really happy to be with you. Yoo Jae-myung's appearance in the movie makes viewers laugh. We can't communicate with each other, but I wanted to show that we can be together like this. The biggest achievement of this movie is that it was with Yoo Jae-myung."
Finally, he said, `I'm working as a film director this time, but I started with the play.' `I actually came into this industry because I wanted to film a movie, but it wasn't an era where YouTube was as simple as it is now. I started with an 8mm movie, but it was hard to raise funds. There was always a longing for movies, and I was curious about how the staff wrote the script. If we only ate the cooking table prepared by the staff when filming the drama, we did all the preparations together in the movie. It was that hard, but there was more joy than that. I'm 61 years old now, and I'm enjoying the fact that I can challenge myself even though I don't have a long rest of my life" he expressed his passion.
Meanwhile, 'Lonely Gourmet The Movie' is scheduled to be released in Korea in March next year.
