The Netflix film 'Jeon, Lan', which was selected as the opening film of this year's Busan International Film Festival, is a story about Jong-ryeo, the son of Joseon's top military family, who grew up together, and Cheon-young, his body servant, becoming an enemy with his ancestors' closest military officer and righteous army and meeting again. Director Park Chan-wook participated in the production and screenplay and received great attention from the time the production was announced. Director Kim Sang-man, who directed "FM in the Late Night", grabbed a megaphone and completed a masterpiece of a sophisticated and powerful historical drama with outstanding staff.
Director Kim, who directed the film for the first time in 10 years and was selected as the opening film of the Busan International Film Festival, expressed his feelings, saying, `I'm happy to be with great actors.'
He also talked about what he received advice from director Park Chan-wook. Director Kim first met with the director at the Joint Security Area JSA. At that time, he was about to join the army, and he thought the director was like a teacher. In a way, the director suggested this work to see if he saw the merits of the work I've been doing, and he gave me a lot of advice from the scenario stage. He confirmed the scenario even though he was busy filming 'Co-worker', and while talking with me, he specifically said 'I wish he could do this'. Although he couldn't come to the scene a lot, he came to the scene at the beginning of the shoot and gave directions to the actors exactly one line."
