The production presentation of tvN's new Saturday-Sunday drama 『Jungnyeoni" (written by Choi Hyo-bi, directed by Jung Ji-in) was held in Conrad Seoul, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul on the afternoon of the 10th. Based on the Naver webtoon of the same name (writer Seo Yire/Namon), Jung-nyeon is a work that contains the competition, solidarity, and brilliant growth period surrounding the 'natural sound genius' who challenges the best national drama actor set after the Korean War in the 1950s. Director Jung Ji-in, who has been recognized for his directing skills through the drama 『Clothes Sleeve Red End』 using the fresh material of women's Gukgeuk, will take the megaphone. Kim Tae-ri (played by Yoon Jeong-nyeon), Shin Ye-eun (played by Heo Young-seo), Ra Mi-ran (played by Kang So-bok), Jung Eun-chae (Moon Ok-kyung), Kim Yoon-hye (Seo Hye-rang), Moon So-ri (Seo Yong-rye), and Lee Deok-hwa (played by Gongseon) will be in the work.
Director Jeong Ji-in, who directed the drama, said "Jeongnyeon" is a story of women who gathered to perform women's gukgeuk. It's a story about a man from the country growing up as an actor with the people he meets in the Maeran Guk Theater Company."
Kim Tae-ri, who grows up playing Yoon Jeong-nyeon in the play, said "I was curious about why such fun and fresh material was not dramatized, but the answer seemed to be difficult. Previously, 'Jungnyeoni' was known to be broadcast on MBC, but earlier this year, tvN's programming was confirmed. Producer Jeong Ji-in, who was a member of MBC, was planning and developing 'Jungnyeon' with MBC, and there were constant rumors that MBC would continue the lawsuit. A month before the broadcast, the conflict has once again surfaced.
'Jungnyeoni' is a masterpiece with a production cost of 2 billion won per episode, and it is known that there was a disagreement with MBC. It is also known that the problem arose when producer Jeong Ji-in left MBC at the same time as the organization of 'Jeongnyeon'. Director Jung Ji-in said "Buyong's symbolism was great in the original.
