Popular and controversial 'Black and White Chef' is about to end.

The TOP8 press conference of Netflix's original entertainment series 'Black and White Cook: The War of the Cooking Classes' was held at Hotel Naru Seoul M Gallery in Mapo-gu, Seoul on the morning of the 7th. PD Kim Hak-min, PD Kim Eun-ji, and Choi Hyun-suk, Jang Ho-joon, Jung Ji-sun, Edward Lee, Triple Star, Cooking Dol-Ai, Imokase No. 1, and Naples Matpia attended the event.

"Black and White Cook" is an entertainment program about 100 chefs who compete fiercely with each other, challenging the best star chefs in Korea. The dramatic process of finding the best 'taste' of black and white chefs who are serious about cooking, the mission beyond imagination, unconventional rules, and the dramatic process of finding the best 'taste' is exploding viewers' dopamine.



According to the Netflix TOP 10 website on the 2nd, 'Black and White Chef', which will release the final episode on the 8th, recorded 4,900,000 viewers (viewing time divided by the total running time of the work). Since its release on September 17, it has been ranked No. 1 in Netflix's Global Top 10 TV (non-English) category for two consecutive weeks, including No. 1 in four countries: Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, and Hong Kong.

Producer Kim Hak-min, who is directing, said "It was before the program was released that this event was planned. 'Black and White Chef' is being called the ending restaurant' in every episode, giving viewers an unbreakable amount of fun. Producer Kim Hak-min said "I heard the evaluation of 'Well done' from people around me, but the best thing I felt was 'I couldn't stop'." I think it's a good thing that Norim-su worked well.' Producer Kim Eun-ji said "We also made the ending with a focus on which part of the audience would be most curious about and which part would make them anxious."

Competition that began with one theme: `Determining the strongest cook.' In fact, 100 chefs poured out their capabilities and faithfully showed the new world of cooking to the viewers. Producer Kim Eun-ji said, "When designing our mission, the biggest premise is 'confrontation by taste'confrontation by taste', but it seems that various elements of taste were included during the meeting. I wanted to melt various elements of taste within the program mission. The person who passed all the missions by designing the theme of taste separately thought that the strongest Korean cuisine, which is close to a hexagon, would be born. The next title is 'Infinite Cooking Hell', which will be a mission to test the limits of the creativity of chefs. Although viewers' reaction to 'Fun' is hot, suspicions and controversies continue several times. There is also strong criticism from viewers to call it a happening because it is popular. For example, in the second round, the suspicion that two black spoon pitchers were intentionally attached as super passes. Producer Kim Hak-min said, `The rule for two super passes and 22 players to go up was a rule that had already been decided. It was already the moment when the third round was decided to be 22. Personally, the most regrettable moment was the 11-11 moment when the judges designated two black spoon. Intriguingly, the production team hoped to be mixed. I thought it would be more realistic. But it's not going our way. TOP8 also has four black people and four white people. It's a part that's decided regardless of our intention. It's a shame that I have to accept the result, but personally, I wanted it to be mixed. "'It has to be 11 to 11, it has to be 4 to 4' and there was no intention of it.'"

There were also criticisms that individual capabilities could not be seen as they played team games in succession. Producer Kim Hak-min said, `Since it is the first survival to be held with 100 chefs, I tried to capture various aspects of competition in the planning stage. From our point of view, since it was pre-production, we made it every week and watched your reactions as we were nervous and curious about how the response would be. I am humbly listening to and listening to what kind of reaction came out to the mission released last week. I'm hearing that there are many voices who want a lot of individual exhibitions, but I think the end of the individual exhibition will be seen in the episode that will be released tomorrow. In addition, PD Kim Hak-min responded to the suspicion that he was intervening in the screening, saying, `There is no intervention in the screening at all. Although I am careful to say it from the standpoint of chef Ahn Sung-jae, the chef thinks that the main criterion for the evaluation of chef Ahn Sung-jae is how much the story is realized according to the intention of the person who made the food. However, there were many opinions that they did not know how the rule on 'release' had to do with cooking, unlike the initial plan of seeing the game only with food. The regret over the release of master Ahn Yoo-sung also led to criticism. Questions about the release continued, but the production team avoided answering and did not give an accurate explanation. With only one day left until the final episode, attention is also being paid to whether 'Black and White Chef' can persuade this.
