'This is not satire but mockery'... 'SNL' Controversy over Hani's Racism - Han Kang Writer's caricature 'Cutting board '
Coupang Play 'SNL Korea Season 6' has been embroiled in controversy again. This time, a parody featuring Hani, a member of the New Jeans, and Han Kang, a Nobel Prize winner, has been under fire.

Coupang Play's 'SNL Korea Season 6', which was released on the 19th, featured a parody of Hani, who recently appeared as a reference to the parliamentary audit, and Han Kang, a Nobel Prize winner.

Ji appeared recreating the costume Hani wore at her concert at Tokyo Dome in Japan. "I was bullied at work."It was a caricature of the situation. However, Vietnamese-Australian Hani's somewhat awkward Korean pronunciation as the subject of a gag sparked controversy over racism. In addition, it was pointed out that it was inappropriate to make Hani's appearance as a laughing stock, as it was related to the workplace bullying problem.

The parody of Han Kang's interview was also criticized. Kim Ah-young recreated the interview scene with a caricature of Han Kang's quiet tone and external characteristics, but viewers could not distinguish between satire and mockery," he said angrily.

"SNL is consistent with simple teasing, not satire criticizing social issuesViewers expressed disappointment as criticism poured out ".

SNL Korea has previously been embroiled in a controversy over mocking YouTubers and certain cultures. In an episode in August in which Jeon Jong-seo appeared as a host, he was criticized for caricatureing YouTuber's content and love of Japanese culture.

In response, some viewers questioned the direction of the program, saying, `It was loved for its cool satire in the beginning, but now it's just an issue.
