tvN's Saturday-Sunday drama 'Jungnyeoni' ended on the 17th with a story of growth and solidarity set in the 1950s women's national drama. It was well received with a high ratings of 16.5% (based on Nielsen Korea) nationwide due to its delicate directing and actors' passionate performance.

Producer Jeong Ji-in, who directed `Jungnyeoni', delivered his feelings about the end and the back story of the production process.

First of all, with his impressions of the success of Jungnyeon and memorable audience reactions, producer Jung said, "The most impressive thing among viewers was comments about Gukgeuk, saying, "Can I pay to watch this at home?" and added, "I was really grateful for every reaction from the viewers."," he said.

Regarding the ending scene and the temperature difference between the viewers involved, producer Jung said, `I thought about how to organize the end of the short episode from the beginning,' adding, `I wanted to show the reality of the current women's gukgeuk, where retirement age becomes a prince, but Maeran no longer maintains her former glory.' Regarding directing the drama, he said, `I had a lot of thoughts about how to introduce women's gukgeuk, a genre that is unfamiliar to modern viewers.' "The Gukgeuk was the best entertainment that allowed the audience to forget the hard reality at the time. The focus was on composing the stage and the characters so that viewers could feel a similar experience. "I wanted to make them feel excited and excited as if they were entering an amusement park, especially when the stage curtain opened." he said.
