tvN's Saturday-Sunday drama 'Jungnyeoni' ended on the 17th with a story of growth and solidarity set in the 1950s women's national drama. It was well received with a high ratings of 16.5% (based on Nielsen Korea) nationwide due to its delicate directing and actors' passionate performance.

Producer Jeong Ji-in, who directed `Jungnyeoni', delivered his feelings about the end and the back story of the production process.

Regarding directing the drama, he said, `I had a lot of thoughts about how to introduce women's gukgeuk, a genre that is unfamiliar to modern viewers.' "The Gukgeuk was the best entertainment that allowed the audience to forget the hard reality at the time. The focus was on composing the stage and the characters so that viewers could feel a similar experience. "I wanted to make them feel excited and excited as if they were entering an amusement park, especially when the stage curtain opened." he said.
