'Firefighter' Director Kwak Kyung-taek'Drunk Driving' Kwak Do-won's portion, deliberately edited NO'

Director Kwak Kyung-taek said at the press/distribution premiere of 『Firefighters" held at CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall in Ichon-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul on the 25th,"I didn't edit it on purpose to exclude Kwak Do-won's portion."
Released on December 4th, the story of firefighters who were put in with a single goal of extinguishing fire and saving power despite poor conditions during the Hongje-dong fire disaster in 2001, and director Kwak Kyung-taek of the series "Friends" took the megaphone.
Director Kwak, who is about to release the film, said, "'Firefighter' is a movie based on a true story and commemorates someone's sacrifice.'"I wanted to compete with fierceness and seriousness rather than dexterity or technique."," he said of his intention to direct.
'Firefighter' was being prepared to be released after filming in 2020, but its release was postponed indefinitely when lead actor Kwak Do-won was caught drunk driving in September 2022. As a result, Kwak was partially edited out of his work. Director Kwak said "I didn't edit it on purpose to take out the amount of Kwak Do-won." The work was released late, and there was a sense of slowness compared to the trend these days. "We paid attention to increasing the speed at the beginning so that many audiences could enjoy it."
