'Firefighter' Director Kwak Kyung-taek"Actor's privacy risk? Check thoroughly in the next film."

Director Kwak Kyung-taek met with Sports Chosun at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul on the 28th and said, `I will carefully check my personal life before casting actors in the future.'
Released on December 4th, the story of firefighters who were put in with a single goal of extinguishing fire and saving power despite poor conditions during the Hongje-dong fire disaster in 2001, and director Kwak Kyung-taek of the series "Friends" took the megaphone.
First, director Kwak explained why he cast actor Kwak Do-won as rescue team leader Jin-seop. He said "Kwak Do-won came to mind first" and "I gave only Kwak Do-won a scenario because he was good at acting, but he answered that he would do it right away. I thought it would go well with Kwak Do-won because I needed a single-minded personality that was stubborn and heavy."
When asked about the meaning of the work, director Kwak said "The work that made me humble" No matter how hard I work as a director, it's the second time. It's lucky that it's originally a work. 'Firefighter' is a work that made me wait for four years and made my heart suffer in the middle. In a way, after 'Friend', I thought the director only had to shoot good works, but I came to reflect on everything I've interpreted subjectively so far."
Then "I almost worked with Ma Dong-seok before, but I fell down, and I learned a lot from Ma Dong-seok at that time."The actors and staff thoroughly reviewed it. I was surprised to see him cast by checking not only his manners at other sites but also his personal life. Now I'm going to do that as well."
