'Love Next Door’ Tops Global Charts, Expands with Pop-Up Stores

tvN 'Love Next Door’ has been ranked in Netflix's Global TOP10 TV (non-English) category for 11 consecutive weeks since its first broadcast in August, and has recorded a double box office record at home and abroad. For 11 weeks on Netflix, it has accumulated 28 million viewers (view time divided by the total running time of the work) and 340.2 million viewers, impressing K-drama fans.
Thanks to the popularity of the drama, the pop-up store of Mom, Friend, Son, will visit overseas fans in person. Studio Dragon announced that it will hold a pop-up store of 'Love Next Door’ in four Japanese cities, including Tokyo, in partnership with Japan's Interactive Media Mix (IMX). Pop-up stores will be held at Tower Records in Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya starting from Fukuoka on November 21 (Thursday) until February next year. 'Mother, Friend, Son' ranked in the Top 10 for Netflix TV for a total of seven weeks throughout its run in Japan.
Prior to this, the pop-up store 'Love Next Door’was held from October 3rd to 9th in The Hyundai Seoul in Korea and from October 28th to November 4th in Taipei K-MONSTAR BREEZE NANSHAN BRANCH in Taiwan.
A Japanese IMX official who hosts the pop-up store 'Mom Friend Son' with Studio Dragon said "The drama 'Love Next Door’ became such a hot topic in Japan that many people fell in love with it from the first broadcast." The pop-up store was decided to be held based on the requests and expectations of local viewers. All of Studio Dragon's works, which are showing many hits, are highly supported in Japan," he said. Since November 1, an encore pop-up store has been underway in response to the wishes of local fans who want to reopen the Tokyo pop-up store.
