Released on Dec. 10, 'Strongest Rugby: Die or Win' is a sports survival show that shows the real game of rugby players who continue their desperate advances by throwing their whole bodies for the glory of victory. Jang Si-won PD, who was loved by viewers for his authentic story through 'Strongest Baseball', 'Steel Unit', and 'City Fisherman', and Netflix, who showed the power of K-survival entertainment through 'Physical: 100', and 'Black and White Cook: Cooking Class Wars', are receiving high expectations.
'Strongest Rugby: Die or Win' is drawing attention in that it is Netflix's new survival show that follows the `Physical: 100 Season 2 - Underground' that shook the world with its quest for what is the perfect physicality and the `Black and White Chef: The War on the Culinary Class' that sparked a culinary craze with a never-before-seen culinary survival. I wonder how producer Jang Si-won, who has made not only fans but also viewers who were not familiar with the field, will portray the true nature of the sport of rugby.
Netflix's successful selection of rugby as its new survival entertainment event also raises interest, with the success of 'Physical: 100', 'Black and White Cook: The War of the Cuisine Class'. With the fierce and desperate matches played by rugby barren South Korean rugby players and the sincerity and passion of the players who do not give up despite poor conditions, it is expected to provide not only cool dopamine but also touching emotions. The thrilling unpredictable match that seems to be watching a drama and the players' fighting spirit draw attention to make them fall in love with the charm of rugby.
'Strongest Rugby: Die or Win' features a month-long journey in which seven teams clash to determine the strongest rugby team in Korea. Korea's strongest rugby team, KEPCO, whose entire team is a former national team member, to Hyundai Glovis, who achieved the dignity of his second consecutive victory in the 「Korea Super Rugby League」, POSCO E&C, the fundamental foundation of power rugby, the dark horse OK Eatman Rugby Team, the Korean Armed Forces athletic unit of the spirit of investigation and invincibility, and Korea University, the top predator of the university league, and Yonsei University, a rugby powerhouse with 80 years of tradition, are expected to compete fiercely. On top of that, announcer Jung Yong-gum and commentator Seo In-soo of 'Korea's Only Rugby International Judgment' will broadcast vividly the scene of the rugby game that cannot be taken away. It also raises expectations further in that Yoon Do-hyun, vocalist of the national band YB, was a music director.
'Strongest Rugby: Die or Win' will be released on Netflix on Dec. 10.
