Actor Park Jae-chan won the role of Ko Soo-ra in Channel A's new Saturday-Sunday drama Check-in Hanyang through an audition, which surprised the production team by winning unanimous agreement.

On the morning of the 17th, a production presentation for Channel A's new Saturday-Sunday drama 『Check-in Hanyang" was held at the convention hall on the 2nd floor of the Eliena Hotel in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Actors Bae In-hyuk, Kim Ji-eun, Jung Geon-ju and Park Jae-chan and director Myung Hyun-woo were present on the day.

Check-in Hanyang (scripted by Park Hyun-jin/directed by Myung Hyun-woo/planned channel A/programmed by Wimad, artist studio, story networks/co-production investment PONY CANYON) is a historical drama of youth romance that depicts the turbulent growth of Joseon's flower youths who joined Joseon's largest female pavilion 'Yongcheonru', where they can become kings with money.

Director Myung Hyun-woo, who directed the work, told the story of four young people with different goals coming together and struggling against the backdrop of Yongcheonru Pavilion in Yeogak, which is more colorful than the palace. The colorful attractions and colorful characters will add to the fun."

The actor who received the most attention on the day was Park Jae-chan, who played the role of Go Soo-ra. Gosu-ra is a young man who visited Yongcheonru to raise up his inclined family, and after being full of ambitions for success, he experiences true growth by building friendships with the four of them.

What's surprising is that Park Jae-chan was cast in this role through an audition himself. The production team said "The only actor who auditioned was Park Jae-chan. Nevertheless, everyone gathered their mouths and cast him unanimously, which drew attention. In particular, Park Jae-chan's acting skills and the 'stick' image of the Go Soo-ra character captured the production team at once at the audition site.

Park Jae-chan confessed that he first learned at the production presentation that he was unanimously cast. He said "I thought the role of Gosu-ra was really attractive, so I really wanted to try it. So I auditioned in person, and I heard it was unanimous for the first time today"I couldn't hide my astonishment.

Meanwhile, Channel A's new Saturday-Sunday drama 'Check-in Hanyang' will premiere on Channel A at 9:10 p.m. on the 21st following 'Marry You'..
