Director Kim Sung-je introduced the movie 'Bogota: Land of Last Chance'.

Director Kim Sung-je said at the press and distribution premiere of the movie 'Bogota: Land of Last Chance' at Megabox COEX in Seoul on the afternoon of the 19th, `This movie depicts the emotions of a young man who became an early adult.'

Released on the 31st, 'Bogota: The Land of Last Chance' (hereinafter 'Bogota') is a movie about Kook-hee (Song Joong-ki) heading to Bogota, Colombia, on the other side of the world with new hope, intertwined with Sooyoung (Lee Hee-joon) and Park Byeong-jang (Kwon Hae-hyo), influential figures in the Korean community in Bogota, and director Kim Sung-je of 'Minor Opinion' took the megaphone.

Director Kim said, `The genre is a crime drama,' adding, `Just as Seoul is not a crime city, Bogota is not one of those cities, so I chose the crime genre to express the feelings of a young man who became an early adult" he said.

Regarding the response to concerns about damage to the national image caused by the work, director Kim said, `I was not careful about being caught up in gossip. However, as you all know, the drug lord was active in earnest in the 1980s and died in 1993. The 10 years before the time I set in the movie actually made Bogota the most dangerous city in the world. It is true that such aftershocks still remain, and I didn't try to paint a kind of genre fiction ridiculously. I wanted to deal with narratives and conflicts with realistic materials that were not intended to damage the image of the country. In fact, I talked a lot with local productions, and they responded as if it was okay because they were Americans and they made a lot of movies with a much more dangerous genre."
