Netflix 'Squid Game' Season 2 Director introduced the work.

Director Hwang Dong-hyuk said at the production presentation for the second season of 'Squid Game' held at DDP Art Hall 1 in Dongdaemun, Seoul on the 9th"It looks like the one in the game."

The 「Squid Game」 released in September 2021 is gaining global popularity at the syndrome level and is set to be released in season 2 on the 26th. Season 2 of the 'Squid Game' tells the story of a fierce battle between 'Gi-hoon" (Lee Jung-jae), who returns to the game after vowing revenge, and 'Frontman" (Lee Byung-hun), who greets him, and the real game begins again.

Director Hwang Dong-hyuk, who became the first Asian to win the Best Director award at the 74th Primetime Emmy Awards, is directing, writing, and producing again, including Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hun, Wi Ha-joon, Gong Yoo, who returned from season 1, and Lim Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Kyu-young, Park Sung-hoon, Yang Dong-geun, Kang Ae-sim, Lee Seo-hwan, and Jo Yu-ri, who are newly joining season 2.

Director Hwang Dong-hyuk said, `Ki-hoon is trying to board a plane to LA to meet his daughter, but he turns back. 'I'll find you again' contains the subsequent journey of discipline. It depicts the story of the frontman trying to stop the game, and the conflict structure of the frontman trying to prevent and collapse such a discipline again.'

As for the season 2 differences, there is a vote for and against that briefly introduced in season 1. I'm dealing with OX voting in earnest whether I'm going to continue the game or leave it. If you think about it in connection with the real world, I think there will be many interesting points. There will be fun watching new games as well."

He also conveyed the message he wanted to convey through this work. Director Hwang said, `The whole world is getting divided and divided and each other is drawing a line. I think such a conflict is intensifying. So is conflict within the country, and so is war. Looking at the Galasum, the division, and the humans who are hostile to each other even in the 'Squid Game', I think they resemble each other in reality and in the game. I hope it will be an opportunity to look back on our world again."

Lee Jung-jae, who played Ki-hoon who was the winner of the 'Squid Game' in season 1, will participate in the game again in season 2, said "The view of Ki-hoon has completely changed. The goal became so clear that it was someone else. He has been transformed into such a person. I go looking for the frontman with the determination that I must stop the game. Can't you believe me?p. We're going to postpone the situation."

Lee Byung-hun of the frontman, who took off his mask at the end of season 1, said "In season 1, the frontman existed as a functional role in overseeing and proceeding the entire game. In season two, the frontman's warrior is explained to some extent. "I'm trying to make you realize why I got to participate in the game like this, what kind of thoughts I have, and that the frontman thinks wrong from the standpoint of the frontman. "

Season 2 of Squid Game will be released on Netflix on Dec. 26.
