'A big family' Director Yang Woo-seok"A family story? What do you think we need the most in this day and age?"

Director Yang Woo-seok met with Sports Chosun at a place in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul on the morning of the 4th and talked about the movie 'extra-family'.
The movie 'The Big Family' is a family comedy in which cute grandchildren who have never seen the world come to the owner (Kim Yoon-seok) of the dumpling restaurant 'Pyeong Man-ok' because of his son (Lee Seung-ki) who became a monk.
Referring to his previous works 'The Attorney' and 'Steel Rain' series, Yang explained why he changed his direction from a movie with a social message to a universal and fundamental theme of family.
He "It seems that the form and meaning of the family have changed significantly over the past generation and two generations. I think the time has come for one family to take care of another," he added.
The film 'extraordinary family' emphasized the scalability and solidarity of the middle-of-the-road title family using 'extraordinary family' beyond just the meaning of a large family.
Director Yang said, `All families are different but share essentially the same concerns"This work is a story that considers the role of the family in the social context beyond the scope of the individual family."
Here, the characters in the play define and find their families in their own way. His son Ham Moon-seok (Lee Seung-ki), who became a monk, finds the meaning of his family in Buddhist scriptures, and the main character Ham Moo-ok (Kim Yoon-seok) realizes that the world has raised him. Director Yang said, "We are a part of the world, but we are also a world." The work tells the story of the world expanding into a family beyond a family in a narrow sense," he said.
Director Yang said in this work that `I think all those who have love and mercy are Buddhas and Jesus. Sometimes we can find that in ourselves," he said, conveying a message that allows him to feel the warmth of human nature in family relationships.
The movie 'The Big Family' will be released on December 11th.
