Director Kim Seol-hyun and Kim Hee-won, a real mentor who thinks about acting together

On the morning of the 19th, at a place in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, Kim Seol-hyun met with Sports Chosun and responded to an interview to commemorate the opening of 'Light Shop'.
Disney+'s original series 'Light Shop' (directed by Kim Hee-won/original & scripted by Kang Pul/produced by Mr. Romance/Co-produced by Moving Pictures) is the only place that lights up the end of a dark alley. The story takes place when customers with suspicious secrets come to a lighting shop.
In the first to fourth episodes, it overwhelmed the audience in a tense atmosphere with a mysterious horror genre, and in the fifth to eighth episodes released last week, it added dramatic fun with a narrative that caused a reversal, giving them a high sense of immersion and emotion.
In the play, Kim Seol-hyun plays Lee Ji-young, a suspicious guest who made an extreme choice believing that she lost her lover Kim Hyun-min (Um Tae-gu). Ji-young is a trauma character who sits on a bench in memory and waits for her lover with a setting where she can't speak. Seol-hyun received favorable reviews by stimulating viewers' tears with only her eyes and delicate expressions in the scene where Ji-young speaks her lover's name for the first time after hard work.
Seol-hyun said of her work with director Kim Hee-won "Because I was an actor-turned-director, I thought he would see all my acting, and I was worried about what if my hidden shortcomings were revealed."," he said, expressing his tension at the time. However, Kim Hee-won's detailed guidance opened his heart.
Director Kim Hee-won then valued acting that the actor was satisfied with. He demonstrates all the acting himself. 'When I tried it, this part was difficult. What do you think?He explained, "They asked me questions and considered it together." He "That way made me more comfortable with my acting, and I was able to fix my shortcomings," he said.
An episode in which director Kim Hee-won evaluated Seol-hyun's face as 'uncle' was also drawing attention. In response to this, Seol-hyun passed "At first, listening to the director, "You could think so."But later the director came and explained. I think he was considerate of me in case I was hurt."
Seol-hyun continued "I think the director wanted the emotions and situations I express to be more realistic and universal"In that sense, I was able to immerse myself more in the character and it was an opportunity to expand the range of expressions" he said.
