The harmony of unconventional and eerie...Ko Hyun-jung and Jang Dong-yoon reveal the teaser for the crime thriller 'The Devil'

Whatever you imagine, there will be more unconventional problems than that.

SBS drama 'Warts', which is scheduled to air in 2025, drew great attention by releasing a teaser video at the '2024 SBS Acting Awards' on the 21st. 'Sama' is a crime thriller about a mother imprisoned as a serial killer and a new serial murder that imitates her. The collaboration between Byun Young-joo, who directed the film 『Hwacha" and Lee Young-jong, who wrote 『Seoul Spring』, and Ko Hyun-jung and Jang Dong-yoon's unique combination are raising expectations of prospective viewers to the fullest.

The teaser video begins with Ko Hyun-jung, who emits an innocent appearance and an eerie atmosphere at the same time. Her biting of a bright red apple combined with passionate opera music created intense tension.

Jang Dong-yoon, opposite Ko Hyun-jung, plays Cha Soo-yeol, who grows up as a police officer, as the son of a serial killer. In the teaser, he showed anguish while tracking down the culprit at the scene of the brutal incident. Jo Sung-ha and I.L. joined as police colleagues, adding to the sense of immersion, especially Ko Hyun-jung's grotesque laughter and "Thank you." But it's too late, so go in and sleep." became the highlight of the trailer.

Despite the short 60-second teaser, 'Warts' left a strong impression with opera music, a speedy screen transition, and a unique direction in which darkness and brightness intersect. Expectations are already high on how this work, which features fresh attempts to break the stereotypes of crime thrillers and overwhelming acting skills of actors, will resonate.

'Warts' will be broadcast on SBS in 2025.
