The movie 「Harbin" topped the box office overwhelmingly, surpassing 2 million cumulative viewers in the first weekend after its release.

According to the integrated computer network for movie theater admission tickets on the 30th, 'Harbin' attracted a total of 903,000 people (55.3% of sales) from the 27th to the 29th, topping the weekend box office. Since its release on the 24th, the cumulative number of audiences has reached 2,385,000, proving once again the popularity of the Korean film market.

Directed by Woo Min-ho, 「Harbin」 is a work about Ahn Jung-geun's Harbin uprising, starring actors Hyun Bin, Park Jung-min, and Cho Woo-jin. It is receiving praise from the audience due to its solid directing skills and the actors' passionate performance.




Kwak Kyung-taek's movie 「Firefighter」 won the second place in the weekend's box office. More than 233,000 people watched it, recording 3,216,000 cumulative audiences, exceeding the 3 million mark. This is the fifth largest number of Korean movies released this year.

Other genres such as 'Mupasa: The Lion King'(120,000), 'Moana 2'(99,000), 'Crayon Shin-chan: Our Dinosaur Diary'(98,000) topped the weekend box office, proving the popularity of various genres.

As of 8 a.m. on the same day, 'Harbin' is ranked first with a 36.4% share in the reservation rate ranking. The number of pre-sale tickets has reached 130,000, showing a steady popularity.




The second place in the reservation rate is Song Joong-ki's leading role 'Bogota: Land of the Last Chance', which will be released on the 31st, with a reservation rate of 18.1%. 'Bogota' is a story of Koreans who moved to Bogota, Colombia after the financial crisis, and director Kim Sung-je took the megaphone with Song Joong-ki, Lee Hee-joon, and Kwon Hae-hyo.

In addition, 'Firefighters'(5.4%), 'Civil War: Age of Divide'(4.8%), and 'Mupasa: The Lion King'(4.5%) maintain the top booking rate.
