Genie TV's original drama 'Namib' (scripted by Um Sung-min, director Han Sang-jae, and Kang Min-gu), which will premiere on the 23rd, depicts the story of Kang Soo-hyun (played by Ko Hyun-jung), a fired star producer, and Yoo Jin-woo (Ryeowoon), a released long-term trainee, moving toward their respective goals.
In the play, Kang Soo-hyun struggles to take responsibility for the future of her son Shim Jin-woo (Lee Jin-woo), who was hurt by his mistake. However, although Shim Jin-woo's mother's heavy expectations and affection are burdensome, the subtle distance between the two adds to the tension as he is quenching his feelings alone whether the reaction will hurt his mother.
The released special poster looks dry like a dry desert, but contains deep feelings for each other. Kang Soo-hyun carefully puts her face next to her son's ears with hearing aids and hugs her shoulders, making a affectionate expression. Her whispers "Believe, I'm responsible for your life" show an intense motherhood toward her son trapped in silence.
However, despite Kang Soo-hyun's determination, Shim Jin-woo keeps an emotional distance from her mother with a calm expression. Attention is focusing on how the two people's love methods, which are the same for each other, will change.
Meanwhile, Kang Soo-hyun's hard motherly love and son Shim Jin-woo's inner conflict, played by Ko Hyun-jung, will premiere on ENA at 10 p.m. on Dec. 23. Immediately after the main broadcast, it will be streamed free of charge through KT Genie TV and Genie TV Mobile.
