After long discussions with Disney+, MBC recently agreed to present 'Moving', which drew not only cinematic quality but also global attention, through MBC.
The 20th drama 'Moving', which was introduced as an original Disney+ series in August last year, is based on the popular webtoon of the same name by Kang Pul, and is a superpower action hero drama in which children living in the present with superpowers hidden and parents living with painful secrets of the past face huge risks from time to time and generation.
At the time of cranking, actors with acting skills and star quality such as Ryu Seung-ryong, Han Hyo-joo, Jo In-sung, Cha Tae-hyun, and Kim Sung-kyun, as well as the casting of the next generation of leading actors such as Lee Jung-ha, Ko Yoon-jung, and Kim Do-hoon, were considered to have opened a new horizon for K-hero movies, drawing explosive topics in each country, both at home and abroad.
As this project is the first case of collaboration between global OTT and domestic terrestrial broadcasting, the industry is also very interested. The collaboration included the desire of both companies to introduce high-quality content to more viewers.
It is known to introduce high-quality content to a wider audience through a supply-demand partnership between terrestrial broadcasting and paid subscription OTT platforms, which are free universal services.
An official from the MBC content strategy team said "'Moving' is a mega-hit movie by Disney+, but there are many viewers who have not yet come across it."This collaboration also means expanding the viewing rights of various viewers to watch for free through MBC by selecting good works that lead the K-culture."
The Disney+ original series 'Moving', which will be presented by MBC, will be featured from the first broadcast at 10 p.m. on December 22 to the eighth episode for three days of the Christmas week, and will be fixed on Sunday night for two consecutive episodes once a week from January.
