Honorary Professor Joo Jin-sook of Chung-Ang University was selected as the winner of the Achievement Award, Ra Mi-ran of the film `Citizen Deok-hee' as the winner of the Women's Film of the Year Award, and the Film Industry Overcoming Crisis in the Film Industry Award as the winner of the Kang Soo-yeon Award.
Professor Joo Jin-sook, winner of the "2024 Female Film Person of the Year" Achievement Award, is a leading Korean film scientist and female film expert who served as president of the Korean Film Critics Association and president of the International Federation of Film Critics' Association. From 1992 to 2018, he was a film major professor in the Department of Performing Arts and Creation at Chung-Ang University, and since 2018, he has served as the director of the Korea Film Archive, building an informatization system in line with the changes of the times and striving to digitize data.
Honorary professor Joo Jin-sook is one of the key figures who led the creation of the Women's Movie Association in particular. At the 1999 Busan International Film Festival, she raised the need for a meeting of female filmmakers and devoted herself to establishing a meeting of female filmmakers in April 2000. Later that year, she published a book 'Women's Dictionary', a vast work that restored the history of filmmakers such as Jang Mi-hee, Byun Jae-ran, and Lee Soon-jin and female filmmakers from the 1950s to the 1990s. In 2001, he led the production of a documentary directed by Lim Soon-rye that proved the survival of female filmmakers themselves.
He was selected as the recipient of the Achievement Award with respect and appreciation for his efforts in the growth and development of female filmmakers.

The winners were selected by the 2024 Female Film of the Year Nominee Selection Committee for theatrical releases and OTT original films from November 1, 2023 to October 31, 2024. Among them, the acting award and the rookie acting award are selected by combining the opinions of members and board members of the Women's Film Artists Association, which consists of female filmmakers working in the field.
