On the afternoon of the 18th, an interview with the cast of the Season 3 of Wave Original Entertainment 'Blood Game was held at Wave headquarters in Yeouido-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul. On this day, producer Hyun Jung-wan and cast members Kim Kyung-ran, Lee Ji-na and Si-yoon attended to talk about the program.
Since its debut back in 2022, "Bloody Game" has been a huge hit and has continued into season three this year. Recently, Good Data Corporation Fundex ranked first in the TV-OTT integrated non-drama hot topic category in the second week of December, proving its popularity.
The third season of 'Blood Game' gave viewers a strong sense of immersion by playing a brutal survival game in a unique world view. However, controversy arose when the siren went off faster than scheduled due to the production team's mistake during the attack on the paradise.
Producer Hyun Jung-wan, the director of the production, responded to the mistake by saying, `The siren was originally set to ring 20 minutes later, but there was a mistake in setting the timer. Since the situation had already progressed, I had no choice but to settle it quickly", he explained and apologized to the cast and viewers.

Kim Kyung-ran then said of the conflict with the members of the mansion team "Time in the mansion team was overwhelmingly not good for mental health" he affirmed. He said "There were constant doubts and internal strife within the team, and it was hard to hold out in an atmosphere that was trying to get rid of me. Until now, we should have gone to the wreckage team' has regrets,' he confessed.

Kim Kyung-ran showed a critical view of the strategy maintained by the mansion team. "We need to get rid of the strongman" was a handshake that broke the team. If I was on the wreckage team, I would have enjoyed the game properly with Jang Dong-min."

The cast then responded differently to the question of whether they would appear again if a new season was created.
Siyoon says, "I want to be back on the show no matter what," he said, expressing a strong will. He said "It was my first survival experience, so I was inexperienced a lot. If it's the second time, I'm confident that I'll adapt faster and show my proper self." Also "I've regained my forgotten passion through this program. I realized that I still had the energy to burn like I was in my 20s."
Izzina said she wants to play the game a little wiser. "While watching the show, I faced the maximization of my shortcomings. If I get the next opportunity, I will play the game independently without being swayed by the surrounding situation. I want to improve myself."
Kim Kyung-ran, on the other hand, showed a cautious attitude. "This season has had great physical and mental aftereffects. But humans are forgetful animals, so they may try again in time," he said, leaving a lingering impression. He had a similar experience 10 years ago when he appeared on 'The Genius'. Survival stimulates human instincts, but I wanted to overcome them in a cool way."
'Blood Game', which continued until season 3, was transferred to OTT, and it was surprising with a bolder and more stimulating setting than before. In response, producer Hyun Jung-wan said, "Viewing OTT content is an area of choice for viewers. Since teasers and trailers are produced with strong-level videos, viewers are also watching after being determined to be `this is worth watching,' he explained. `We wanted to create an extreme situation where viewers can be more immersed.'
However, some point out that violent situations and sharp conflicts between cast members are uncomfortable. In particular, the conflict and siren errors of the mansion team caused great pain to the cast and controversial to viewers. In response, the PD said "The production team will learn and improve it." Thanks to the passion of the performers, the program came this far."
Meanwhile, Season 3 of 'Blood Game' is showing a new episode every Friday at 11 a.m. after its first release on Nov. 15.
