The production presentation of tvN's new Saturday drama 「Ask the Stars" (written by Seo Sook-hyang, directed by Park Shin-woo) was held at The St. in Guro-gu, Seoul on the afternoon of the 18th. Director Park Shin-woo, Lee Min-ho, Gong Hyo-jin, Oh Jung-se and Han Ji-eun attended the event.
Ask the Stars is a work about the life of Boss Eve (Kong Hyo-jin) working on a zero gravity space station and an uninvited dinosaur (Lee Min-ho) with a secret mission. It is attracting attention as a unique material called "My First Space Office." In particular, thanks to the realization of the zero-gravity set, new backgrounds that have not been identified in space background dramas will be able to be appreciated.
Director Park Shin-woo, who realized this, said, `After the broadcast, it will be good to sympathize with each other little by little. We are the first drama to express weightlessness. It is the first drama, and there are usually three existing methods. There are ways to use computer graphics, wire, and actually weightless on Earth, among which we actively used wire and computer graphics, and this is actually not a suitable expression for drama, so there is a long metal arm called a fork. Gong Hyo-jin married Kevin Oh in the U.S. in October 2022 while filming Ask the Stars. Gong Hyo-jin said, `I thought I should get married in the middle of the wedding instead of delaying it. There was a great man. The drama team was considerate, so I went for just 10 days. It was so tight that (Lee)Minho had to film until I came back from the wedding, but it was nice to be able to act as the main character of a romantic comedy even after I got married. When I came back, I remember everyone clapping 'A married woman'."
The romance between Gong Hyo-jin and Lee Min-ho is expected to be scattered between the "Ask the Stars" and "Ask the Stars". Director Park Shin-woo said "Our drama has a unique romance. It can be hard for those who like Rocco to see it. Weightlessness is a story in which people who enter the space communicate emotionally by saying, "'Do I feel weird, is my body weird, is my mind weird?' in a confusing situation. If you look at the flow of a typical romantic comedy 'What's wrong with them?You'll do it. If you watch the chemistry between the two actors who have suffered for a long time and look at the two tiki-taka even if they are not in a relationship, you will not understand it with your head, but gradually 'I see'.
