Actor Song Joong-ki exuded his passion for acting. In the movie 'Bogota: Land of the Last Chance' he transformed himself into a young man who risked his life to pursue success, proving his extended acting spectrum.

Released on the 31st, 'Bogota: Land of the Last Chance' (hereinafter 'Bogota') is a story about Kook-hee (Song Joong-ki) heading to Bogota, Colombia, on the other side of the world with new hope immediately after the IMF, intertwines with Sooyoung (Lee Hee-joon) and Byeong-jang Park (Kwon Hae-hyo), influential figures in the Korean community in Bogota. Director Kim Sung-je of the movie 『Minority Opinion』 grabbed a megaphone and created a realistic crime drama.

In 'Bogota', the turbulent survival of Koreans who have become strangers unfolds. After failing to escape the IMF's aftermath in 1997, Kook-hee and her family fled to Bogota, Colombia, on the other side of the world. After that, he participated in the smuggling of clothing by learning work under Sergeant Park, who holds the power of the Korean Merchants Association to survive in unfamiliar lands. Kook-hee protects Sergeant Park's goods with his life despite the risk of being caught by Colombian customs and gains trust not only in Sergeant Park but also in Suyeong, a customs broker. Kook-hee, who felt that she could change the game of the Korean community in Bogota with her choice and will, has a desire for greater success.

The actor who showed the most amazing transformation in the work is by far Song Joong-ki. Until now, he has built up a solid inner strength as an actor by performing different genres of acting in dramas and movies. If the drama has been loved by the public for its heartwarming image, such as 'Sungkyunkwan Scandal', 'Descendants of the Sun', 'Vincenzo', and 'The Youngest Son of the Congregation', it drew attention by capturing a completely different image of a face on the screen. In the movie "Hwaran" released last year, the middle boss of the organization was played, and in the Netflix movie "Rogi-wan" released this year, he played a North Korean defector, giving the audience a sense of freshness.

'Bogota' expresses Kook-hee's long narrative from his teens to his 30s in three dimensions. From the boy who arrived in Bogota at the hands of his father to the appearance of a young man who does not hesitate to take any opportunity for a living. In particular, unlike the image of a model student shown before, it creates a sharp impression by wearing a short hairstyle and earrings.

The enthusiasm of the special supporting actors also adds to the audience's interest.

Lee Hee-jun is an indispensable customs broker in the smuggling business and plays Suyeong, the No. 2 player in the Korean smuggling market. In order to express his ambition to look like a local, he challenged a drastic visual transformation with a mustache and healthy copper skin. Kwon Hae-hyo, who played Park Byeong-jang, the most powerful person in the Korean community in Bogota, shows a good appearance in Chungcheong-do dialect, but raises the tension of the play with his mysterious eyes and expression. Park Ji-hwan, who plays a small boss, approaches the audience with a different charm from Jang Yi-soo in the 'The Outlaws' series. While maintaining the overall flow of the movie, he shows his presence in the scene that appears every moment and performs like a scene stealer.

Cho Hyun-chul boasts a perfect synchro rate with Suyeong's junior Jae-woong, who keeps Kook-hee in check. He is timid and quiet, but he delicately portrays his establishment in the Korean market in Bogota. Kim Jong-soo, who played his father Geun-tae, who brought Kook-hee to an unfamiliar land, exudes an intense presence even in a short amount. Bogota, who arrived with the last hope, also shows a desperate appearance of being ruined by alcohol and gambling when life is not easy. 'Bogota' was the first Korean film to shoot a location in Colombia, capturing exotic scenery on the screen. The genre charm of the local raw action and crime drama is expected to be completely melted into the work, giving the audience a different experience.
