At the production presentation for the second season of 'Squid Game' held at DDP Art Hall 1 in Dongdaemun, Seoul on the 9th, Lee Jung-jae said "The way Ki-hoon sees it is completely different" and "I can't believe it."
The 「Squid Game」 released in September 2021 is gaining global popularity at the syndrome level and is set to be released in season 2 on the 26th. Season 2 of the 'Squid Game' tells the story of a fierce battle between 'Gi-hoon" (Lee Jung-jae), who returns to the game after vowing revenge, and 'Frontman" (Lee Byung-hun), who greets him, and the real game begins again.
Director Hwang Dong-hyuk, who became the first Asian to win the Best Director award at the 74th Primetime Emmy Awards, is directing, writing, and producing again, including Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hun, Wi Ha-joon, Gong Yoo, who returned from season 1, and Lim Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Kyu-young, Park Sung-hoon, Yang Dong-geun, Kang Ae-sim, Lee Seo-hwan, and Jo Yu-ri, who are newly joining season 2.
Lee Jung-jae, who played Ki-hoon who was the winner of the 'Squid Game' in season 1, will participate in the game again in season 2, said "The view of Ki-hoon has completely changed. The goal became so clear that it was someone else. He has been transformed into such a person. I go looking for the frontman with the determination that I must stop the game. I got to play an unbelievable situation, too."
Season 2 of Squid Game will be released on Netflix on Dec. 26.
