'Hitman 2' Becomes First 2025 Film to Hit 1 Million Viewers

The movie "Hitman 2", starring actor Kwon Sang-woo, achieved the first 1 million viewers among the 2025 releases.

According to the Film Council's integrated computer network of movie theater tickets on the 29th, 'Hitman 2' mobilized 199.68 million the day before, and the cumulative audience was 994,357. Since then, it has exceeded 1.06 million viewers at around 7 a.m. on the 29th, the day of the Lunar New Year, and has surpassed 1 million cumulative viewers in eight days after its release.

'Hitman 2' is a comic action film that imitates the new webtoon that Jun, who quickly fell from a big hit writer to a `brain writer', was ambitiously introduced, and director Choi Won-seop took the megaphone following the first film.




'Black nuns' came in second place with 138,868 viewers. The cumulative audience is 899,471. Actor Song Hye-kyo's first on-screen return in 11 years 'Black Nuns' is a film about people going to a prohibited ceremony to save a boy possessed by a powerful evil spirit, directed by Kwon Hyuk-jae.

Located in third place, 'Untold Secrets' attracted 41,684 spectators the day before, recording a cumulative audience of 94,358. Starring actors Do Kyung-soo, Won Jin-ah, and Shin In-eun, 'Untold Secrets' is a fantasy romance film about a miraculous magical moment that begins when Yu-jun and Jung-ah run into each other in a campus practice room where the secret of time is hidden, directed by Seo Yoo-min.
