Director Kwon Hyuk-jae met with Sports Chosun at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul on the 23rd and said, "Director Jang Jae-hyun seems to have differentiated the genre after watching the movie at the VIP premiere."
Released on the 24th, 'Black Nuns' is a movie about people going out to a prohibited ceremony to save a boy possessed by a powerful evil spirit, and director Kwon Hyuk-jae, who directed 'Solver' and 'Count', took the megaphone.
Director Kwon said, `Thank you for your interest in the work even before the release.'"Song Hye-kyo also returned to the screen for the first time in 10 years, so it seems that she felt the changed promotion method itself fresh." After the production briefing session, we will talk about the work with the reporters through a press preview, and have a meaningful time through GV (conversation with the audience) after the general presentation. I'm nervous and excited because I think the audience will send me more diverse opinions after the work is released."
'Black nuns' is a spin-off of 'Black Priests' released in 2015. Director Jang Jae-hyun, who directed the first film, will attend a special GV on the 26th to talk about various things with the audience. Director Kwon said, `Didn't director Jang make good works afterwards as well as 'Black Priests'. Also, I met a lot in private, and since they are around the same age as me, I tend to talk a lot on a regular basis. I recently watched the VIP preview and made a good comment, saying, `I think I have differentiated myself in the genre.'."
He then confessed the burden he felt while directing the work. Director Kwon said, `Of course, I have no choice but to feel burdened. It is also burdensome due to the external gaze on the work, but as a director, I had to focus on the project, so I thought I should work hard in one direction with the staff. He explained that he also thought a lot about the part that could reveal the unique personality of the 'black nuns'.
