Actor Lee Byung-hun explained the rumor of being involved in casting the top (Choi Seung-hyun) of Squid Game 2.

Lee Byung-hun met with Sports Chosun at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul on the 8th and said, "(The controversy over human connection casting) did not make him feel upset."I didn't feel the need to make my position clear" he said.

Netflix's original series 'Squid Game' has been a syndrome-level hit worldwide since its release in September 2021. Season 2, which returned after three years, is a story about a fierce battle between Ki-hoon (Lee Jung-jae), who returns to the game after vowing revenge, and the frontman (Lee Byung-hun), who greets him, and the real game that begins again, followed by director Hwang Dong-hyuk's megaphone. Lee Byung-hun, who played as a frontman in season 1, participated in the game disguised himself as `Oh Young-il' in season 2.

Even before the release of the work, 'Squid Game 2' was strongly criticized by the addition of Top from Big Bang, who caused a 'drug scandal'. In the process, Lee Jung-jae and Lee Byung-hun, who were known to have been close to the tower, were also caught up in the 'casting involvement theory'.

Earlier, Lee Byung-hun had a relationship with Top by appearing together in the KBS2 drama Iris that aired in 2009. He didn't feel upset by the reaction"I heard the director's thoughts " (who expressed his intention to cast the tower), and I thought 'Oh, this role sounds fun'"I don't think there was a need to make a statement. Lee Jung-jae must have had his own thoughts, and I wondered if I should make my position clear," he said.

Meanwhile, Netflix 'Squid Game 2' was released on the 26th of last month and is set to be released in Season 3 in 2025.
