Lim Ji-yeon recently met with Sports Chosun somewhere in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, and responded to an interview to commemorate the end of JTBC's Saturday-Sunday drama 'Ok's Wife Exhibition' (scripted by Park Ji-sook, director Jin-hyuk, Choi Bo-yoon, production SLL, Corpus Korea).
'Ok's Wife Exhibition' is a work about the fierce survival fraud between Ok Tae-young (Im Ji-yeon), an outsider whose name, status, and husband were all fake, and Chun Seung-hwi (Choo Young-woo), an artist who risked his life to protect her. Lim Ji-yeon, who played a fake Ok Tae-young, in which a runaway slave Gudeok became Ah-si, once again impressed with the character variation between the two.
Regarding 'Oksi Lady's Exhibition', which achieved high ratings and popularity, he said "I felt real when I saw that mothers and fathers liked the drama at the restaurant." "When I recently went to the premiere of 'Black Nuns', I thought I received a lot of love because many seniors praised me."
He also reported that Song Hye-kyo, who had a relationship with 'The Glory', actively supported him. "Hyegyo also monitored it and seemed like she was a really big fan. I also felt proud in that part. From the younger sister's point of view, she is really honest and personally a chatty person. I used to be a senior, but now I'm a really close sister." "As an actress, I learn a lot by listening to my sister's story, and I have a lot of loyalty, so she buys me delicious food and monitors me. Please come to the premiere. I want to be a senior who can approach my juniors."
He said he still sees the "The Glory" team often and supports each other. "I also want to show that I'm doing well. As much as I received a great opportunity with "The Glory" and received a lot of love, I feel like I want to let you know that "Yeonjin is working hard"
Cha Joo-young also shared her concerns by challenging historical dramas with each other. "There is a historical drama that Joo-young wants to ', can I do it?' I contacted him, and I was thinking the same thing. So, we relied on each other, read the script together, and cheered a lot. I watched the 1st and 2nd parts of the movie before it was aired, but I was more nervous than my first broadcast. I was so proud of you," he said, expressing his affection for his fellow actor.
He thinks it's not a name that should be taken away from him when he's still called Yeonjin in 'The Glory'. I hope Yeonjin and Gudeok can be called for a long time."
When asked what kind of work would be recommended to overseas viewers if they were to recommend one of the works 'Occy Lady' or 'The Glory', he laughed "I think overseas fans watched 'The Glory' a lot." Then "I thought that an actor should wear Korea's beautiful hanbok at least once and do a work with a female-dominated narrative." I hope our overseas fans love Korean traditional historical dramas a lot," he added.
