Han Ki-chan has been selected to star in the Hollywood romantic comedy The Wedding Banquet and will begin his career as a global artist.
The movie starring Han Ki-chan is an American romantic comedy about the slightly different love and friendship of the main characters, and it will be released sequentially overseas, starting with its U.S. release in April.
Since its release in 1993, it has won the Golden Bear Award at the Berlin International Film Festival and the Best Feature Film Award at the Golden Horse Awards and is a remake of director Ian's film of the same name, which is considered a world-renowned masterpiece. In last year's all-location in Vancouver, Han Ki-chan played the role of a Korean international student and was praised by local staff for his perfect Korean and English dialogue.
It is co-written by Korean-American film director and screenwriter Andrew An, who directed Netflix 'Bridgerton Season 3' and films 'Fire Island' and 'Driveways', and is distributed by American independent distributor 'Blecker Street'.
After his debut through the web drama 'Where Your Eyes Stay', Han Ki-chan built various characters with stable acting skills, crossing the CRT and screen, such as dramas 'Again My Life', 'Ireland'Do as You Wish' and the movie 'That Song'. He is building up his penmanship as an actor.
Meanwhile, Han Ki-chan is expected to mark a significant turning point in his first Hollywood film since his debut, promoting himself to people around the world as the lead actor on the world stage.
