TV Chosun announced on the 2nd that 'Mr. Trot 3', which was scheduled to be broadcast on Thursday, and 'Tralala Wandering Team', which was scheduled to be broadcast on Thursday, 2nd, will be canceled on Friday, 1/3rd. He added "We ask for your understanding."
Both programs will take a week off due to the Jeju Air plane disaster. Previously, TV Chosun also canceled 'Miss Three Lang', which was scheduled to air on the 1st.
In particular, despite the recent high ratings of 'Mr. Trot 3', TV Chosun seems to have considered public sentiment about the massive disaster even if it is a major entertainment show.
At 9 a.m. on December 29 last year, Jeju Air Flight 7C2216 from Bangkok, Thailand, was trying to land on the runway of Muan International Airport when the accident occurred. The plane was halved when it collided with facilities around the runway, and was engulfed in flames, killing 179 of the 181 passengers. The government designated seven days until the 4th as a period of national mourning.
