Blackpink Jisoo and ♥…Park Jung-min, Jomkom Challenge in Partnership with Watchman Director (Roundup)

Coupang Play Series 'Newtopia' held a production presentation at the Conrad Hotel in Yeouido, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul on the morning of the 7th. Park Jung-min, Ji-soo and Yoon Sung-hyun attended the scene.
'Newtopia' is a story about soldier Jae-yoon and a bear lord running to each other across downtown Seoul, where they were attacked by zombies, and Yoon Sung-hyun, the director of the films 'Watchmen' and 'Time for the Hunt', took the megaphone.
Director Yoon will present a fresh world view that exquisitely combines Apocalypse and romance. He "I've always liked zombie stuff. There was also a time when I was planning because I wanted to do zombie movies after finishing 'Watchmen'. I wanted to do zombie stuff for a very long time, so I was hooked from the first time I saw the script."
As for the reason for casting Park Jung-min and Ji-Soo, "Zombies are zombies, but I felt the main characters were fresh." As soon as I saw Jaeyoon's role, I immediately thought of Park Jung-min, and I developed the character more and more while imagining Park Jung-min. Jisoo is very humorous. I laughed out loud when I saw the YouTube content edited by the fans," he explained. "I couldn't hide my admiration even in the process of working together."

He then shared his feelings about working with Ji-Soo on romance. Park Jung-min "There is a cabinet that only collects precious things in my house, and I have a black pink signed CD at the front. I was such a fan of BLACKPINK that I asked Kim Go-eun to get an autograph before. It was such an honor to see that it read 'Thank you Jung-min' on one side and 'Thank you Jung-min' on the other. I never imagined that I would be talking to Ji-Soo and working together on acting."
Park Jung-min reunited with Yoon following his debut films 'Watchmen' and 'Time to Hunt'. In response, he made his debut with the movie `The Director's Watchman, and he was the most grateful person in my heart for 15 years,' he said "There was no reason to reject the director's offer." Also, at the time of filming 'Hunt Time', the director said he wanted to try a comedy movie. I was also curious about the comedy the director directed, but he just came up with a suggestion. I was grateful to be the main character in the director's work for the first time, and it was meaningful."

Earlier in December 2023, Jisoo signed a contract with YG Entertainment for the group Black Pink's full-length activities. After that, he established a private label 'Blissu' and announced his acting career in earnest. He said "If the members do well, many people congratulate me. As I was congratulated like my job, I felt deeply that the members were in a family-like relationship. It's good for other members to hear good things about me, so I filmed 'Newtopia' harder. I hope a lot of people will love the work," he said of the wind.
When asked if she felt any pressure as she met viewers as an actor rather than a singer, Jisoo said, `Of course, I feel a lot of pressure as I get a lot of attention, but it's been a good driving force for me.' In the meantime, "I received a lot of help from the staff and actors on the set and prepared hard. I hope a lot of people are interested in it and evaluate it," he said.
Meanwhile, the Coupang Play series 'Newtopia' will be released for the first time at 8 p.m. on February 7.
