According to related industries on the 3rd, Andong City plans to reconfirm the site of damage to Byeongsanseowon Confucian Academy with the National Heritage Administration, and then file a complaint against the KBS drama team after receiving legal advice. The controversy was sparked by the production team of KBS's new drama 『Namjoo's First Night』 nailing and installing props on top of the pillars of Byeongsan Seowon, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, during the filming process.
In response, Andong City immediately stopped filming the drama, and KBS issued an official apology saying, "We received permission to film it in advance, but we received complaints from visitors about the damage to cultural assets.""I recognize the seriousness of the situation and feel sorry for it "
KBS said it is currently discussing the exact situation and how to recover it, and is discussing the restoration process with officials at Byeongsanseowon. We will also come up with measures to prevent recurrence and further damage," he stressed.
However, on the 3rd, a complaint was filed in the Kookmin Newspaper titled 'KBS Drama Shooting Team's Damage to Cultural Properties' The accuser requested a strict investigation, saying, "Apart from the restoration consultation, the damage to cultural properties itself is a legal violation." Accordingly, the Gyeongbuk Police Agency will confirm the contents of the complaint and distribute the case to Andong Police Station.
Meanwhile, the controversial drama 『Take Namjoo's First Night』 is a romance fantasy starring Seo-hyun and Ok Taek-yeon, and depicts the story of an ordinary female college student entering a minor role in a romance novel.
