Actor Yeon-woo looked back on 2024, when he ran busily with the end of 'Ok's Wife Exhibition'. He worked hard filming three works in a row, including "Our House", "Gae-Sori", and "Okshi Lady" " It was physically difficult but rewarding"I expressed my feelings.

Yeon-woo recently met with Sports Chosun at somewhere in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, and responded to an interview to commemorate the end of JTBC's Saturday-Sunday drama 'Ok's Wife Exhibition' (scripted by Park Ji-sook, director Jin-hyuk, Choi Bo-yoon, production SLL, Corpus Korea).

"Ok's Wife" is a drama about a fierce survival scam between Ok Tae-young (Im Ji-yeon), an outsider whose name, status, and husband were fake, and Chun Seung-hwi (Choo Young-woo), an artist who risked his life to protect him, which ended with the 16th episode on the 26th.

Yeonwoo plays the role of Cha Mi-ryeong, who approaches Ok Tae-young (played by Lim Ji-yeon) for her mother's revenge in 'Mrs. Ok's Wife', but ends up respecting her sincerely. "I had a lot of worries about doing a historical drama for the first time. From speaking to expressing emotions, it was necessary to be different from modern dramas, and wearing hanbok was not easy. At first, I felt dizzy because I didn't even know it was so tight. It was more difficult because it was a summer shoot, but I personally felt that hanbok was a much more uncomfortable outfit than it looked."

There was also a lot of pressure to postpone historical dramas. "I watched a lot of historical dramas, but it was difficult to do it myself. I studied the way I spoke by watching the "Moon Embracing the Sun" and "Moonlight Drawn by Love" and I was able to do it because the director and actors pulled me out a lot on the set"He confessed.

In the play, the ghost moves for revenge, but eventually realizes his feelings and changes. "I didn't mean to play two faces from the beginning. However, the director asked me to make it clearer, so I made it while filming it. It was more difficult to act because Mi-ryeong's actions were not just evil acts but because she wanted her mother's love. It was emotionally exhausting, but I was fortunate to remain a beloved character until the end."

As for the relationship with Lim Ji-yeon, I liked her so much since "Originally 'The Glory', but I became more respectful while acting together. In some scenes, it wasn't a scene of tears, but the moment I looked into my sister's eyes, I cried on my own. I'm really grateful that the other actor gives me such emotions." Especially, I received a lot of consideration on the set. "If I'm thinking, it's easier for me to do this, so you can do whatever you want." I liked it because it was a way of giving choices, not forcing them."

There were also difficulties while acting as a couple with Kim Jae-won. "It was difficult because I had never acted cute. I don't usually express that a lot, but I was worried at first. But Jaewon has a lot of romance experience and expresses his feelings well. Thanks to this, I relied a lot on it and acted. There were moments when I felt sorry that I didn't come out as much as I imagined and practiced at home, but the play lived well because the other actor matched it well."

Yeon-woo, who challenged the first historical drama through the `Mrs. Ok' exhibition, said the audience's response was impressive. "At first, he said 'You're a ghost', 'Bad ghost', but then he gradually called 'Our ghost'. I was so grateful and touched." In particular, the family's response was different. "My parents changed my SNS profile picture to 'Mrs. Ok'." I think you were as excited and nervous as I was. He was so happy to see the 6th episode that appeared for the first time."

Last year, he spent a busy year filming three works in a row, including 'Our House', 'GaeSori' and 'Occy Lady', and 'Occy Lady', and there were many moments when he was physically tired and disappointed. But I was happy. I was proud that all three works had different characters. It was worthwhile that they expressed it differently even though they were shooting around the same time."

He received the second prize for his excellent performance at the end of the year award ceremony "Don't dwell on the award" Mr. Lee Soon-jae said in his acceptance speech, but I sympathized so much. The prize seems to follow if you work hard. It would be nice to win the top prize within 10 years, but I think it's more important to continue acting than that," he added.

Asked what kind of goal he has as an actor, "I want to be a better person than a good actor. I think I can be a good actor if I become a healthy person in my mind." About mental management methods "When you're having a hard time, you just have a hard time. I don't try to force myself to cheer up. If you're sad while spending time alone, you can cry, get angry, get annoyed, and solve it."

He confessed that he felt pressured about the title of an idol-turned-actor. "There were many people who were negative because they were former idols, so I was worried. But now, when I hear that it's okay as an actor, I'm really grateful and feel good. I think it's a relief that they both feel loved." Asked if he plans to be on stage again, he said, "If there is an opportunity like a fan meeting or a celebratory stage, I would be happy to be on stage," he replied.

After finishing the exhibition of Mrs. Ok, he is currently preparing a new work. "It's not mean, but it's a role with a story that looks cold. I'm not a villain, but I think I can be loved because I'm a proud character", raising expectations.

What kind of work will Yeon-woo remember 'Ok's Wife Exhibition. "I think it will remain a work that I have worked hard on. It's even more special because it's my first time trying historical drama. I learned and felt a lot while working on the work. I'm glad that I can be remembered as a beloved character, and I want to show you my growth in the future."
