According to the OTT content ranking aggregation site FlixPatrol, 'Nutopia' is receiving a hot response from overseas as it ranked fifth in the global TV series category for Prime Video as of Feb. 23.
'Newtopia' tells the story of soldier Jae-yoon (Park Jung-min) and his lover Young-joo (Jisoo) running to each other across a zombie-covered Seoul. In particular, the recently released narrative of the campus couple drew an explosive response and further stimulated viewers' emotions.
In the trailer for episode 5, the Youngjoo team finally arrives in front of Tower A where Jaeyoon is, and the Jaeyoon team attempts to escape from the rooftop of the tower where the military unit is located. However, Jae-yoon's team, who entered the tower, immediately engaged in a fierce battle with zombies to maximize tension. The Yeongju team is also surrounded by zombies and struggles with firebombs.
In a still released together, Jae-yoon's team trying to escape Tower A and Yeongju's team rushing toward the tower with a golf club and a firebomb in their hands were captured. Questions are mounting over whether Yeongju, who crossed the dangerous downtown of Seoul, will be able to reunite with Jae-yoon.
Meanwhile, 'Newtopia' will hold a special event for the first time in the Coupang Play series at 1 p.m. on March 3rd. It is a place to binge-watch episodes 1 to 5 and communicate with viewers in real time through live chat, and can participate through the Coupang Play app, and various prize events will also be held.
Pioneering a new genre of zombie stuff, 'Newtopia' is released every Friday at 8 p.m. on Coupang Play.
