Actor Steven Yeun expressed his feelings about working with director Bong Joon-ho for the second time.

At a press conference for the movie `Mickey 17' held at Megabox COEX in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul on the 20th, Steven Yeun said, `Director Bong actively supports the actors and characters as they are.'

`Mickey 17' is the return of director Bong Joon-ho, who won the Grand Prix of the Cannes Film Festival and the American Academy Award for the film 『Parasite" (2019). It is based on the American writer Edward Ashton's novel `Mickey 7' and tells the story of Mickey 18, a consumable (expendables) put into dangerous work and reprinted after death, when Mickey 18 was printed thinking he was dead during his 17th death crisis.

Steven Yeun, who plays Timo, a friend who moved to the ice planet with Mickey, said "I finished filming two years ago, and I think it would change again if I acted again now." He then joined the production shortly after filming "The Angry People" about his role, and Timo came across as an interesting character. He had to embrace his dark side, and he was a character who was hated by everyone. I can't be satisfied with all of my performances, but if I played a role in accordance with director Bong's vision, I'm satisfied just to participate."

In addition, regarding director Bong, who reunited after the movie 'Okja' released in 2017, "Please look at the characters and actors as they are and actively support them." If I work with the director, I can act more leisurely on the set"I expressed my gratitude. At the same time, he expressed respect, saying, `Director Bong's own eyes and perspective are beautiful.'

Meanwhile, 'Mickey 17' confirmed its release in Korea for the first time in the world on the 28th. The North American release date is March 7.
