In the second episode of MBC's Friday-Saturday drama Undercover High School (played by Lim Young-bin, directed by Choi Jeong-in), Jung Hae-sung (Seo Kang-joon) began to dig into the truth of ghost stories spread in the school with his friend Lee Dong-min (Shin Joon-hang). The ratings were 6.6% based on Nielsen Korea's national households and 6.5% based on households in the metropolitan area. In particular, the epilogue scene, which shows signatories watching Hae-sung looking at the basement of the old building in the school, soared to 8.8%, leading to the highest level of tension. In addition, 2049 viewership, a key indicator of channel competitiveness and popularity, was 2.8%, ranking first among all dramas aired on the day, drawing a lot of attention from drama fans.
In the broadcast on this day, Haesung, who was searching on the first floor of the school district building, ran into Sua, who was on patrol, and was in danger of being discovered. Haesung shined the flashlight he was holding onto Sua and ran away and managed to escape the situation. Hae-sung, who saw the principal Park Jae-moon (played by Park Jin-woo), going down to the basement of the old building, sensed the suspiciousness and further doubled the mystery.
On the other hand, Haesung was told by Dong-min about the ghost story of the old officer circulating in the school. A female student who was bullied by students a long time ago took her own life in the old building classroom, and after that, at the same time, a dead student appears in a closed practice room. Dong-min shocked Haesung, who did not believe in ghost stories, by showing him a video he took himself.
Just as I was about to hear about the next ghost story, a group of Park Tae-soo (Jang Sung-beom) appeared in front of Haesung and Dong-min. Tae-soo spit on Dong-min's rice and ordered it to be eaten, and as Haesung stopped it, the tension surrounding it increased. Tae-soo grabbed the collar of his anger at the thought that Haesung had interfered with him, and Haesung also fought back, leading to a serious situation that turned into a big fight. I wonder what will happen in the future to Haesung, who has been uncomfortable with the student despite the team's instructions to focus only on performing his duties without getting involved in anything during his time at school.
Meanwhile, Hae-sung, who went to Gugwan to find out the truth of the ghost story, accidentally met Dong-min there and accompanied him. The two people who entered the building followed the sound down to the basement when they heard classical music somewhere. There, a mysterious man was hammering, and when the two appeared, he threw the hammer and ran away, drawing questions. Inside the basement room, the first chairman Seo Byeong-moon (Kim Eui-sung) and Emperor Gojong's gold bullion filled the wall, suggesting that Chairman Suh Myung-joo (Kim Shin-rok) was also looking for the bullion.
At the end of the broadcast, Dong-min, who was about to leave the building, found a white bone body wearing a schoolgirl's uniform matching the contents of the ghost story under the wooden floor. With suspicious things continuing to happen, Hae-sung raised expectations for the next broadcast on how to solve the complicated situation.
The second episode depicted the process of Haesung tracking the whereabouts of the gold bullion in earnest, and the colorful story of Haesung intertwining with students provided plenty of entertainment and fun.
