Hong Sang-soo, full term ♥ Will he go on the red carpet with Kim Min-hee…The Berlin Film Festival opens today (13th)

Director Hong Sang-soo has been officially invited to the competition section of the 75th Berlin International Film Festival (hereinafter referred to as the Berlin Film Festival), and attention is focused on whether Kim Min-hee, who is full-term, will stand on the red carpet together.

Director Hong's new work 'What Nature Says to You' was officially invited to the 75th Berlin Film Festival's feature competition section, which opens on the 13th (local time).

'What Does Nature Say to You?' is Hong's 16th collaboration with Kim Min-hee, and has been called to the Berlin Film Festival for six consecutive years, following 'The Runaway Woman', 'Introduction', 'The Novelist's Film', 'In the Water' and 'The Need of Travelers'. Director Hong won the 70th Silver Bear Award for "The Runaway Woman", the 71st Silver Bear Award for Best Screenplay for "Introduction", and the 72nd Silver Bear Award for "The Novelist's Film". At the 74th Berlin Film Festival held last year, it received the grand prize for the Silver Bear Award for "Need of Travelers", but Kim Min-hee did not attend at the time.

In particular, attention is being paid to whether Kim Min-hee will attend the Berlin Film Festival. Kim Min-hee, who participated as a production manager in `What Nature Says to You,' drew attention after it was belatedly known that she was pregnant with director Hong's child in January. In addition, since the 75th Berlin Film Festival is Hong's first public appearance since the 「Out-of-wedlock scandal」, attention is being paid to whether he will mention his upcoming child.

Director Bong Joon-ho's new work 'Mickey 17', which will be released in Korea on the 28th, has been invited to the special gala category. 'Mickey 17' is Bong's first work in six years since the film 'Parasite' and is based on Edward Ashton's novel 'Mickey 7'. The film tells the unpredictable story of 'Mickey', which is a consumable (expendables) put into dangerous work and is reprinted when 'Mickey18' is printed, thinking he is dead during the 17th death crisis. Hollywood star Robert Pattinson, Steven Yeun, Naomi Ackie, Mark Ruffalo, and Tony Collette appeared in large numbers, raising expectations from audiences around the world.

Director Mingyu-dong's new work 'Fagua' was also invited to the Berlinale Special category. 'Department' is a movie about a breathtaking blood-red battle between a piece of a legendary killer who has been active for 40 years in the Sacred Quarantine, which deals with people like cockroaches, and a mysterious killer bullfight that pursues him. Director Mingyu-dong and actor Lee Hye-young will attend the red carpet event held on this day to shine.

Meanwhile, the 75th Berlin Film Festival will be held in Berlin, Germany from the 13th to the 23rd.
