Park Jin-young said at a production presentation for Channel A's new Saturday drama 'Witch' held at the Grand Ballroom in D-Cube City, Seoul on the 11th, `I filmed it before joining the army, but I'm more nervous than burdened.'
Based on Kang Pul's popular webtoon, "Witch" is a mystery romance in which Dong-jin (Park Jin-young), a man who wants to break the law of bad luck surrounding a woman called a witch, and Mi-jeong (Roh Jeong-ui), a woman who became the seed of tragedy and cut herself off from the world, become each other's salvation after a journey that does not give up.
Director Kim Tae-kyun, who showed dense directing power through the movie 「Dark Murder」, will direct and add sensuous interpretation. On top of that, it is receiving enthusiastic support from fans with a 200% synchro ratio with original webtoon characters such as Park Jin-young, Roh Jung-ui, Lee Jae-hyuk, and Jang Hee-ryeong.
In particular, Park Jin-young is raising expectations for his return after being discharged from the military. Park Jin-young said, `The shooting was done before I joined the army. I felt pressured as an actor, but I didn't feel much pressure because I didn't know what was after that. After being discharged from the military, the tremors were greater than the burden. I finished filming two years ago, so I was nervous in some parts. I'm happy that I've been discharged from the military and I'm also in a drama."
Park Jin-young, who plays Dong-jin, who threw himself out to break the law of the "witch", is a very genius and general character. I wanted Dong-jin's genius side to be revealed through his voice. I also wanted to show that I am a regular friend through various expressive abilities. I'm curious how you'll see the character because it's a character I made while discussing with the director a lot on the spot.
Channel A's new Saturday drama 'Witch' will premiere at 9:10 p.m. on the 15th.
