Check-in Hanyang (scripted by Park Hyun-jin and directed by Myung Hyun-woo) is a youth historical drama about the growth of left-handed stones and romance experienced by young people who gathered to achieve their goals against the backdrop of Joseon's largest female pavilion 'Yongcheonru'. In the play, Park Jae-chan played Ko Soo-ra, an ambitious man who finds 'Yongcheonru' for the ball.
On the 6th, Park Jae-chan met with Sports Chosun somewhere in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, and responded to an interview commemorating the end of 'Check-in Hanyang'.
Park Jae-chan said, "I hope season 2 will be made."Especially from the moment we became Daegakju, our desire for season 2 grew."
Channel A's Saturday-Sunday drama 『Check-in Hanyang" (scripted by Park Hyun-jin and directed by Myung Hyun-woo) is a drama about the growth, love, and power struggles of young people set in Joseon's largest female pavilion"Yongcheonru". Park Jae-chan played the role of an ambitious man who dreams of success in Yongcheonru. Check-in Hanyang has steadily risen in viewership, recording the highest 4.2% (based on Nielsen Korea) in the history of Channel A's Saturday and Sunday dramas, raising fans' expectations for the end and season 2.
In the play, Sura left Yongcheonru with her friends and ended up setting up a new female palace in the South Sea. In response, Park Jae-chan said, `When I saw the ending, I wanted to draw more stories of Sura growing into a footnote"If Season 2 comes out, I want to show the appearance of Sura, which has become a diagonal state, by making a female palace as big as Yongcheonru near the South Sea." he expressed his ambition.
"If Season 2 comes out, I think it will be interesting to see the battle between Cheon Bang-ju and the female Gisaeng made by the four members of Haona," he said. "I also talked about Season 2 as a joke to the director and the writer. I hope it will come true."
