Actor Joo Jong-hyuk conveyed his efforts to perfectly portray Kang Ki-ho's character in Trigger. As a contract reporter PD, his research process was meticulous to convincingly express a person who was in conflict between reality and belief.

Joo Jong-hyuk met with Sports Chosun at somewhere in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul on the afternoon of the 19th and responded to an interview on Disney+'s original 'Trigger'.

Disney+ Original 'Trigger' is a flower-like world, a terrible investigative story of professionals who look at the camera first to rescue bad guys.

Joo Jong-hyuk played the role of a supporting actor in his third year in 「Trigger」. The symbol is a person who is proud of his work and passion based on infinite trust and respect for team leader Oh So-ryong(Kim Hye-soo), and does his best to cover exploration and reporting. He is a friendly and tearful character, but he acts as a vitality for the 'Trigger' team with his unique puppy-like and youngest-like appearance.

Joo Jong-hyuk wanted to make the character Kang Ki-ho not just a mood maker, but a deep three-dimensional figure. He thought "Symbols serve as a vital force in the team, but he's not just a bright person."I have a sadness as a non-regular worker, but I wanted to exclude it when I was working and draw it as a person who is faithful to my job," he explained.

In particular, he analyzed actual investigative reporting programs and watched documentaries to study the job of an investigative reporter PD, and learned the reporting method and realistic production process. "I turned it on when I was eating and studied while watching an investigative report program. I realized how fierce this job is when I saw the producers' sense of duty to dig through the case to the end. In addition, through this work, I learned that the PD is not just filming, but a job that sometimes has to take risks while organizing programs and covering them," he added.

He also worked hard on Kang Ki-ho's external expression. In the beginning, I didn't shave, so I felt like I was staying in the office, and I started shaving at a certain point to show the character's change. He said he also considered several versions of his hairstyle.

He also made careful efforts to change the emotional line of Kang Ki-ho in the play. In particular, in the scene where he was reprimanded by the team leader 'Oh So-ryong' and conflicted between reality and ideal, he acted by repeating several takes to build up emotions. "Usually, three takes exhaust the emotions, but it was amazing that the same feelings were maintained even after several takes. It was a happy and proud moment to have a unique experience," he recalled.

Joo Jong-hyuk showed a deeper acting through Trigger. He worked hard to make the character Kang Gi-ho three-dimensional"I acted with sincerity so that the viewers could sympathize with the growth of preference" he said.

Meanwhile, episodes 11 to 12 of 'Trigger' will be released on Disney+ on the 19th.
