Director Bong Joon-ho lamented the death of late actor Lee Sun-kyun.

Coach Bong Joon-ho recently met with Sports Chosun somewhere in Yeouido, Seoul, saying, `Everyone makes mistakes and makes mistakes,' but added, `It is right to be strict about mistakes, but I hope we can have that much tolerance.'

Director Bong and Lee Sun-kyun formed a relationship as a director and actor in the 2019 film 'Parasite'. Lee Sun-kyun, who plays the role of Dong-ik in the play, received great love worldwide when he completed the Oscar race with director Bong.

However, Lee Sun-kyun was booked in October 2023 on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act (taste) and died while undergoing police investigation. The movie industry was deeply saddened by the sudden sad news of the deceased, and the Solidarity of Culture and Artists (tentative name), including director Bong, released a statement in January last year titled 'Demand of Culture and Artists Facing the Death of the late actor Lee Sun-kyun.

Director Bong Joon-ho and actors Song Kang-ho, Lee Sun-kyun, Cho Yeo-jung, Choi Woo-sik, Park So-dam and Jang Hye-jin have a photo session at the press preview of the movie 'Parasite' held at CGV Yongsan on the 28th. 'Parasite' is a story about Ki-Taek's eldest son, Ki-woo, who is unemployed, who won the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival by director Bong Joon-ho, following an unexpected incident that begins when he goes to interview Park's tutor with the expectations of his family.

I also saw Kim Sae-ron, who recently passed away, at the premiere of 'Traveler', and it's very unfortunate. Everyone makes mistakes and mistakes. "It is right to be strict about mistakes, but I wish I could have that much tolerance. I hope there is a balance between strictness and tolerance."

Meanwhile, `Mickey 17' is Bong's return film, which won the Grand Prix at the Cannes International Film Festival and the Academy Award in the U.S. for the film `Parasite. It is based on the American writer Edward Ashton's novel `Mickey 7' and tells the story of Mickey 18, a consumable (expendables) put into dangerous work and reprinted after death, when Mickey 18 was printed thinking he was dead during his 17th death crisis. It has confirmed its release in Korea for the first time in the world on the 28th, and its release date in North America is March 7.
