Lee Byung-hun Reflects on 'JSA' at CJ ENM's 30th Anniversary GV Event

Lee Byung-hun said at the CJ ENM 30th Anniversary Biggernery Selection at CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall in Ichon-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul on the 4th that `Today is a commemorative day, so I invited my family here.'
Director Park Chan-wook's film 'JSA', released in 2000, contributed to a change in public perception of inter-Korean relations by unraveling the reality of division with a human perspective. In addition, actors representing Korea, including Song Kang-ho, Lee Byung-hun, Lee Young-ae and Kim Tae-woo, received enthusiastic reviews from the audience as their performances were added. Lee Byung-hun, who played the role of South Korean sergeant Lee Soo-hyuk in the play, said "It's really nice to see you. The actors also talked a lot, and it's already been 25 years since the movie was released. Many younger generation audiences visited the theater today, and some of you may be new to this movie, so I wonder what their reviews are like. Also, since today is a commemorative day for the first time among us, I heard that we even invited our family members. So I forgot about it, but I called my family late and I heard they watched the movie together," he said, expressing his emotion.
Meanwhile, global IP powerhouse CJ ENM announced its 30th anniversary selection of Visionary, expressing its willingness to open a new chapter of K-culture in the future as well as the past 30 years. In particular, this year, in commemoration of the 30th anniversary, we prepared a time to illuminate the buzzernery's selected works, and 'JSA' was named in the film category.
