This week, SBS 'My Ugly Baby' depicted Lee Dong-gun visiting Hongcheon, where the whole family traveled together in the past, with his parents again. Lee Dong-gun's younger brother died 17 years ago in an unexpected accident while studying in Australia. In response to his parents' words, "'When I hear a holiday, I think of the second thing.'" Lee Dong-gun planned a trip to memory himself.
However, Lee Dong-gun's family's trip was full of heavy silence from the beginning. As the family does not usually have much conversation, awkward silence continued even with the health food and activities prepared by Lee Dong-gun. Watching this, the studio's mother and Avengers were frustrated, and Lee Dong-gun's mother once said, `I haven't spoken to my husband for two months", and it was surprising to say that the quiet atmosphere was rather a daily life.
During the trip, Lee Dong-gun's father confessed his long-held feelings. He is guilty of his son's death", he recalled that the second child hated him because of the strict way of teaching. He then confessed to tears, saying, "'I lived by myself for 10 years because of the guilt that I felt like my second child had left because I had done something wrong.' This scene left the studio in a sea of tears and left viewers heartbroken.
Meanwhile, Lee Dong-gun handed over a special gift prepared in advance for his parents. The parents, who checked the gift, seemed deeply moved and unable to speak for a while. Attention is focusing on what the gift Lee Dong-gun prepared will be.
The trip, which contains the honest feelings of Lee Dong-gun's family, which reminds us of the meaning of the family, will be broadcast on SBS 'My Ugly Baby' at 8:55 p.m. on the 2nd.
Meanwhile, Lee Dong-gun married actor Cho Yoon-hee in 2017 and got a daughter, Roa, in December of the same year, but divorced after three years of marriage in 2020.
